We're happy to announce an initiative we've been working on for some time -- the launch of "Passenger Side", the Wilco on-line ride board and a way to address both the rising costs of fuel and the energy use involved in touring. While reducing the number of vehicles the band utilizes, recycling, and etc. are all great things, the band only has a few vehicles on the road at a time, while fans attending any one gig may have thousands. So what better way for you to help reduce costs, consumption and potentially make new friends than to share a ride with other fans in your area? More information about this program available here. You will need to register on the site to use this service, but, we promise it'll be worth your while. We strongly encourage you to utilize it.

Jeff Tweedy will be performing four shows in Spain in early September. The dates are as follows:

Wilco recently contributed tunes to Rock the Net and Chicago's I-GO compilations. Rock the Net promotes the preservation of a free and open internet. IGO is a car share program in Chicago with more than 8,000 members that aims to lower family transportation costs, reduce urban congestion and improve air quality.

GLENN KOTCHE AT RAVINIA WITH KRONOS QUARTET - SEPT 3

Glenn Kotche will perform his work "Anomaly", with Kronos Quartet at Ravinia's Martin Theatre on September 3rd. The work, commissioned by Kronos, debuted at the 2007 San Francisco Jazz Festival. Click here for more information.
